Calling all vegan pizza lovers. Are you still feeling fuzzy after the weekend or perhaps you just fancy a Monday afternoon treat? Well Domino’s has some excited news for you.

The pizza takeaway restaurant are trialling two new vegan friendly recipes in 46 stores across the UK from today.

The trial Vegan Friendly range will be available in a medium size and will be complimented by Domino’s BBQ dip (Vegan) and is priced the same as non-vegan equivalents.

The vegan friendly range, also now includes the new Vegan Vegi Supreme and Vegan Margherita. These recipes have been under development for over a year and since the previous trial, Domino’s have been able to perfect a freshly made, vegan dough. Best of all, it replicates the original Domino’s taste that fans know and love.

Not everything is as it seems at the famous pizza chain

The new Domino’s Vegan range will be available in selected stores from today and we have listed which below.

The new plant-based Vegan Margarita will be made using Domino’s own vegan cheese alternative, as well as their signature, vine ripened tomato sauce.

The Vegan Vegi Supreme will stay true to the original, adorned with a rainbow of delicious and fresh vegetables, including mushrooms, sweetcorn, onions, green and red peppers along with tomatoes.

The food innovation crew in Domino’s test kitchen, located in the heart of the head office, have been working hard to incorporate the feedback from a previous trial after which the pizza giant decided the dough wasn’t yet up to scratch. A year later, both new vegan recipes use an improved freshly made dough to replicate the unmistakable Domino’s taste millions of fans know and love.

Aman Prasher, Domino’s Chief Vegan Dough Developer said: “Our vegan offering has been a while coming because we’re determined to make sure it’s full of our iconic Domino’s flavour. We might not be first but we’re always the best – no compromises. Our dedicated pizza chefs are incredibly excited for our fans to try this new and improved latest dough as we believe we’ve nailed it.  If they agree, and love it as much as we do, Domino’s will roll out nationwide. We’ve now busy working on some toppings and sides -so watch this space!”

Fans will also be able to customise their pizzas with any Vegan Friendly topping, choosing items such as onions, fresh tomatoes, jalapeno peppers and even the ever-divisive pineapple to make it their own.
