BUENA PARK, CA — Though Knott’s Berry Farm theme park remains closed, their outdoor dining and retail experience, Taste of Knott’s is open for one more week. If you attend, parking is free, and any unused tastes can be used toward future tastings.
Fans and friends of Knott’s Berry Farm have missed walking through the gates since the park was shut down for entry in March, due to the coronavirus pandemic. Knott’s Berry Farm and Knott’s Soak City are temporarily closed, due to a mandate from Gov. Gavin Newsom. As of this report, Knott’s Berry Farm Hotel and California Marketplace are now open. At the park, sanitization, social distancing, and mask wearing —when you are not eating— are all the rules of the day.
According to fan of the park, Cindy Brozzoski, Knotts “did an amazing job of keeping things clean and sanitized,” she wrote on their Facebook page. “I watched tables getting cleaned as soon as customers got up. Plenty of friendly workers making sure everything was in order and clean. Good job!”
Though Labor Day at Knott’s is a tradition for some, like Rebecca Hernandez said on the Knott’s Berry Farm Facebook page, “I can still go for the food!”
Expanding upon the popular Taste of Calico introduced in August, Taste of Knott’s celebrates classic flavors from around the park.
One-of-a-kind food, drink and merchandise offerings throughout Ghost Town, Fiesta Village and Boardwalk, a theme park spokesperson says.
There are over 35 food and drink items to choose from at the Taste of Knott’s event.
A wide variety of foods and drinks are available throughout the park, according to release. The addition of Mexican-inspired cuisine, Knott’s famous BBQ offerings as well as classic Knott’s dishes pulled from the pages of the celebrated Knott’s Berry Farm Cookbook.
Vegetarian? No problem. The Taste of Knott’s has many vegetarian food options available.
Not just eating, but shopping, too!
In addition to dining, guests can shop at the 14 artisan booths or at select Knott’s retail stores to purchase special limited event merchandise. This special dining and retail experience is complemented by the unique Knott’s Berry Farm atmosphere that can’t be found anywhere else.
The only way to experience the limited-time food event is with a Taste of Knott’s Tasting Card. Regular (ages 12+) tasting cards are $30 and include 5 tastings. Junior (ages 3-11) tasting cards are $15 and include 3 tastings.
Children 2 and under are free. Tasting Card required for event entry.
One tasting card is available per person, per entrance. Tasting Cards will be limited each day and can sell out, according to the park’s spokesperson.
“We are looking forward to welcoming you back to the park as soon as it is safe to do so,’ a park spokesperson says on their website. All 2020 Season Passes have been extended through 2021.
Next year, the Knott’s Berry Farm will celebrate its centennial anniversary!
