Here’s a list of places that sell vegan croissants in Los Angeles! These flaky crescent-shaped pastries are native to Austrian and French cuisine. Since they’re traditionally made using milk, butter, and eggs, croissants can be difficult to make or find vegan––but not in LA!

East Hollywood

This female-owned cafe specializes in vegan dishes and pastries with an Armenian twist! Their Vegan Savory Croissant can be ordered with the vegan filling options of Sauteéd Spinach & Marinated Feta, Smoked Provolone & House Mushroom, or Cheddar & Everything. If you’d like to go the classic route, order a Plain or Chocolate Croissant!


Popping up at events, farmers markets, and in stores around town, this company has some ridiculous rolls—apple strudel, ham and cheese, almond, chocolate, and classic, to name a few. The flavors and layers of these bad boys do not disappoint!


If you’re looking for a satisfying snack before hitting Venice beach, stop by this plant-based deli for a vegan croissant or two! New Deli stocks plain, almond, and chocolate croissants made by The Ridiculous Baking Co. alongside other pastries, deli items, pantry staples, and grab-and-go meals.

Glassell Park

This new vegan-friendly coffee shop serves quite a few croissant-tastic menu items! For starters, they carry The Ridiculous Baking Co.’s plain, almond, and chocolate croissants. If you’re craving something a bit heartier, order the OG Breakfast Sandwich on a croissant (marinated tofu or JUST Egg with vegan cheddar cheese, tomato, basil, and red onion) or the Vegan Club on a croissant (vegan chicken, bacon, avocado, cheddar cheese, sriracha aioli, tomato, onion, and kale.) Holy YUM!

Echo Park

While we’re on the topic of croissant sandwiches, let us introduce you to Lento Market’s Breakfast Croissant! The savory handheld contains grilled seasoned tofu, vegan bacon, fresh avocado, vegan provolone, and sriracha Vegenaise sauce. Mmm!

Toluca Lake

After receiving several requests from customers for vegan options, Ricardo of Toluca Bakery & Cafe started experimenting in the kitchen. He learned to substitute vegan ingredients in confections that are traditionally not plant-based. Now, most of the products at this bakery are all-vegan––including croissants, conchas, challah, and other pastries. Their croissants have the most satisfying buttery flavor and texture!

What’s the best thing that’s happened in 2020? Whole Foods launched vegan croissants at all locations nationwide! They took to Instagram to make the official announcement. “We developed these to be as close to a butter croissant as possible, using margarine and a vegan wash instead of an egg wash.” These crescent-shaped cuties can be purchased solo or in packs of four.

You can order their buttery vegan croissant as is or ask for it filled with chocolate. Pair it with their latte art, and you’ve got a deliciously photogenic breakfast!


While Doomie’s is popularly known for their crazy good comfort entrees and sides, they also offer a plethora of desserts and pastries! If you’re digging something sweet, grab their chocolate croissant, or for something on the savory side, try their ham and cheese croissant.

This vegan-friendly market and cafe has plenty of great eats, grocery finds, and pastry items! If you’re looking for your croissant fill, their Hemp & Pomegranate, Carrot & Orange, and Chia flavors are all-vegan.
